In addition to Story Mode, players can engage in some multiplayer mayhem with up to four (4) users. Players can select ‘Multiplayer’ from the Main Menu to access multiplayer maps and modes.

 

Join Screen – Here players can point at the ship color they want with the Wii Remote and press the A Button to select a ship color.

 

Level Select – Once at least two players have joined, Player 1 can select which level to play on. You must unlock levels through single player to gain access to its respective multiplayer level.

 

Game Mode Select – After selecting a level, Player 1 selects which game mode for that level.

 

Start! – Player 1 may then start the game once another player has joined and the Level and Game Mode are selected.

 

 

Unlocking Multiplayer

Eight (8) multiplayer maps can be played, with one unlocked by default. The others can be unlocked by completing the scene in Story Mode. Once the level is completed, the player is informed that they have unlocked a multiplayer map.

 

Multiplayer Modes

There are six (6) modes to choose from when starting a multiplayer game:

• Hero Timed Mode

  Players race against the clock in order to fulfill their rescue objective.

• Hero Point Total Mode

  Players must out-rescue their opponents.

• Hero Team Player Mode

  All players contribute to one rescue score total with defeat of any player signaling the end of the game.

• Collector Timed Mode

  Players race against the clock in order to fulfill their objective.

• Collector Point Total Mode

  Players must outscore their opponents.

• Collector Team Player Mode

  All players contribute to one score total with defeat of any player signaling the end of the game.
