What You Can Do in the Chat Room

After starting a conversation in the lobby, you and the other chat group member will go to the chat room, where your Mii characters will appear. In the chat room, you can perform the following actions. (If you have no Mii characters selected, or there are none registered on the Mii Channel, will appear instead.)

● Chat with Wii Friends
When you begin to talk while facing the Wii Speak microphone, sound waves will come out of your group of Mii characters. The sound will be relayed to your Wii Friends and you can enjoy chatting. Your own voice will not be reproduced through your TV speakers.

● Talk Big
Select a Mii character and press to make that Mii character larger.

● Voice Changer
Pressing will activate the voice changer. Your voice and your Wii Friends’ voices will change along with the background and the sound waves. The effect will last about 20 seconds, then return to normal.

● Mute
To take a temporary break from the chat, press . The Wii Speak microphone will be muted, your Mii characters will turn around, and the microphone icon will switch from to . Sounds from the TV will be muted, and the other chat group members will not be able to hear you.
